FAQ

  • Packages range from just the ceremony coverage, to a few hours of coverage, to full-day coverage, with a link to all of your color-corrected high resolution images. Albums and prints are always optional.

  • For weddings, mitzvahs, and sweet sixteens, we recommend reserving our services 6 months to a year in advance. For business projects we recommend booking at least a month or two in advance to secure the date.

  • Absolutely! For weddings we give you a suggested shot list along with special requests to capture your vision. For all events we suggest you compile a list well before the date and send it to us. We’ll do our best to get them.

  • It is dependent on the type of event and the length of your coverage. For full-length weddings it’s roughly 800-1100 images on average. For business conferences and meetings, full-day coverage is typically 500-1000 images.

  • We know you’re very eager to see your images. For weddings, mitzvahs, and party social events, they’re delivered about 2-3 weeks after your event. For business and corporate it is the same. Depending on the retouching requirements and number of projects we’re working on, it may take a little longer.

  • Yes, engagement shoots are included with full-day coverage, and can be added to any package, or booked separately.

  • No worries because we have what nobody else offers - a good weather guarantee! If the weather isn’t cooperating we can arrange an outdoor photo session at a later date after you return from your honeymoon. That way you can also have beautiful outdoor images in your wedding attire!  We can also adapt with creativity to make the most of any weather by taking images indoors. If it's a gentle rain on your wedding day, or if it’s lightly flurrying outside, we may be able to get some images of you under umbrellas.  Too cute!

  • Yes, we always carry backup cameras, lenses, lighting, batteries, and memory cards.

  • Yes! We travel to destination weddings, business conferences, and all events, and are pleased to travel.  Additional travel fees may apply.

  • Do yourself a huge favor and schedule more time than you think you need! We don’t want you to feel any stress on your wedding day, so let’s go at a relaxed pace for your pictures and get you get back and ready to party!

    We recommend that you schedule:

1-1/2 hours for pre-ceremony pictures at your home or hotel.

1/2 hour for your receiving line, (greeting guests after the ceremony),

Travel time to the park or reception hall‍ ‍

1-1/2 hours for formal pictures of your wedding party, family, bride and groom portraits, etc.

(2 hours for formal pictures If you’re doing a first look) because your ceremony and reception are all at the same place. There is no time after the ceremony for park pictures because your cocktail hour starts immediately after the ceremony ends.

It may sound like a lot of time for taking wedding pictures however your photo session should proceed at a stress free, relaxed pace. If you do not plan time prior to the ceremony for pictures, we strongly recommend blocking out some time after it. Understandably you’ll want to attend your cocktail hour, so be sure to plan ahead and make some time for your once-in-a-lifetime pictures. Some couples extend the cocktail hour by a ½ hour, while others delay the start of the cocktail hour. Both options make more time for your formal pictures so you don’t miss too much of the cocktail hour hanging with friends, family and guests. That way you can have your cake and eat it too!

  • The timing and scheduling of events throughout your wedding day do not always go exactly as planned.  After all it's an exciting, busy time, so it's wise to plan for any unforeseen circumstances (traffic, dress issues, hair and makeup running late, etc.).

Build in extra time for hair and makeup!
They help you look your best - but often times run behind schedule ( sometimes way behind!)  Make sure you work out the details regarding the time that’s necessary for this important part of your day.  We suggest having the hair and makeup people scheduled to be done with their work a minimum of a half hour or 45 minutes before you’d really like them to be finished.  That way you can look picture perfect with time to spare!  In other words tell your hair and makeup people that you must be ready a half hour or 45 minutes BEFORE you really need to be ready.  Just a note - glitter type makeup and glasses may cause reflections so minimize it if you can.

Build in extra time for dressing!
It's your wedding so you don't want to feel rushed.  Sometimes the wedding party and parents slowly get dressed thinking they have plenty of time before the ceremony begins. With so much preparation the time goes by very quickly.  So make sure everyone is dressed and ready at least 1-1/2 hours before your ceremony begins.  That way you can take your photographs at your home or hotel at a leisurely pace and have some extra time to collect yourselves before going to your ceremony.

Sometimes friends and relatives are running late for their formal photographs. Contacting them one week before your event to remind them when they should arrive can minimize this problem (especially for notorious stragglers lol!). Perhaps your sibling or close friend can help you tackle this one. Emails are a great way to communicate because you can quickly send them to multiple relatives at the same time.

  • This is probably one of the most important things you can do to make your wedding pictures go faster, and as smoothly as possible.

We strongly recommend specifically providing one or two people (someone other than the bride and groom) to help in the process of gathering relatives and friends for wedding pictures. The Best Man, Maid of Honor, sibling or close friend can help gather people for formal wedding photographs.  The bride and groom should not have to chase down missing relatives or friends.  So put someone up to the task - they will surely be happy to help out.

  • Of course! Everyone wants to show their love with some taking cell phone or even tablet pictures during your wedding day.

Sometimes folks lean way into the aisle just as the bride is walking down the aisle. Although they have good intentions, they sometimes partially or fully block the view of the bride. That makes it near impossible for the professional photographer to get a good shot. Occasionally a family member may have photography suggestions that will lead to a less than ideal outcome. Finally some folks want to take the same pictures right after the photographer snaps their own. This delays the entire flow and really slows things down especially when the photographer needs to take dozens more pictures.

We urge you to let us provide our professional services while you relax and enjoy your day. We will do our utmost to quickly get the quality images you desire, minimizing your time away from family and friends. We suggested telling your family and guests to put the phones and tablets down and instead, be in the moment!
